For many years, I struggled with my weight. Many years ago, I returned to Weight Watchers and was successful, losing 155 pounds. However as I had done numerous times in the past, I fell off the wagon and gained back all the weight I had lost which led to many health issues including diabetes and an ulcer on my right leg which lasted for 4 years and caused excruciating pain.
For years, my family felt I should go for bariatric surgery which I had on 3/11/19. It’s a long process but it is well worth it as I’ve lost over 100 pounds so far. I’m happier than I’ve been for quite some time I’ve gone from a size 60 to a size 48.
I had been going to a local wound care facility for treatment of my ulcer for 4 years but had my last appointment in May of 2019. The ulcer is gone! It’s a pleasure that I’m able to walk again without a great deal of pain. My knees are a bit arthritic. I joined a gym and go 3 to 4 days a week. There are some machines I’m unable to use, but the exercise I do is more than what I was doing prior to surgery which was NOTHING!!!!
We’ll chat again soon. Be well!
